Melanie Kriewaldt’s career background spans a wide variety of disciplines. She received a Graduate Certificate in Advanced International Affairs from The Bush School at Texas A&M University. -Gig ’em!- She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and studied Political Science at Texas A&M University. She is also a Texas Certified Teacher 7th-12th Social Studies. And, she considers herself a perpetual student of the Holy Bible.
Melanie has logged hundreds of volunteer hours as a citizen-lobbyist at the local, state and national level. She mentors student-lobbyists in effective civil discourse, prepares them for public testimony at legislative hearings and volunteers to speak in support of American civics education and civic engagement at secondary and university campuses.
Melanie worked in the Fast Static RAM Design Engineering Department of Motorola for seven years, provided three years of business administration service to Robinson, Architects of Austin, was the sole proprietor of a residential design service and personally managed every stage of a real estate investment venture for eight years. She has also enjoyed many years of performance art in classical ballet and figure skating.
Melanie is most proud of her stay-at-home-mom years, caring for and educating her two sons Samuel and Jack, both of whom now attend Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering. Again…Gig ’em!
Sam Roth

Introduction to Engineering
Sam Roth will be graduating from Texas A&M University, College Station in the spring of 2024 with a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, along with an Engineering Entrepreneurship certificate. -Gig ’em! He and his brother Jack own PiggyTech, LLC, where they designed and filed a U.S. patent for a portable phone battery design. PiggyTech also operates LAS Resonance, an audio speaker design company.
Sam began coding software at the age of 12, developed the GW Bridge Academy website in 2017 and wrote the software program for GW Bridge Academy’s grading and reporting service. He also worked as an intern for the National Security Innovation Network in the summer of 2021 and worked at L3 Harris during the spring and summer of 2022.
Sam is a former high school state UIL Cross Country team competitor, state UIL Calculator competitor, and enjoys boating, snow skiing, baseball and basketball. Sam joined the GW Bridge Academy faculty in 2020.
